MUST KNOW WORDS OF MUTUAL FUNDS 

I take the liberty to share in brief,  08 must know MUTUAL FUND TERMS... 

1. *AMC*
Asset Management Company is an institution that manages multiple funds Like HDFC mutual fund, SBI MUTUAL FUNDS, NJ MUTUAL FUND etc..

2. *NAV*
It stands for NET ASSET VALUE. This is the UNIT PRICE of the FUND. Depending on the returns of the fund, this price may rise or fall.

3. *AUM
ASSET UNDER MANAGEMENT (AUM) is the total value of money that the investors have put in a particular mutual fund.

4. *FUNDS (SCHEMES)*
These are individual schemes with  specific Goals and investment philosophies. Example AXIS Multicap Fund, HDFC Growth Equity fund, NJ Balanced advantage fund etc...

5. *PORTFOLIO*
The PORTFOLIO shows all the investments made by the fund house in the specific fund/scheme including cash in hand.

6. *CORPUS*
Corpus is the total amount of investment done by an investor in a specific Fund/scheme.

7. *EXPENSE RATIO*
Expense Ratio is the annual fees charged by the MUTUAL FUND SCHEME to manage money on your behalf.

8. *EXIT LOAD*
This is the charge for redeeming your units. Therefore its the amount which you have to pay as fees while selling your units.
